High School Confirmation Workshop for Parents

ST. MARY MAGDALENE PARISHIONERS WITH 8TH GRADERS:

A Parent Confirmation Workshop is being offered on 3/9/23 at 7PM in the Media Center. If you plan to have your child receive Confirmation at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, it is a requirement for one parent to attend one of the workshops. The parish offers 3 workshops each academic year: 1 in the Fall and 2 in the Spring. You can attend a workshop at any point prior to receiving Confirmation, but ideally a parent would attend before their teen is in year 1 of preparation (9th grade). The workshots will help you learn and understand the commitment a teen makes as they embark upon the Confirmation journey. Confirmation preparation is a 2-year process and includes going on a retreat, participating in a service project, getting a sponsor, following the attendance policy at The Way, etc. The full list of Confirmation guidelines can be found on the parish website.
